As Volunteer Week rolls around, Me (Andrew), Allan & Scooby, the founders of Harrogate Community Radio, want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of our volunteers. Without your dedication, passion, and unwavering commitment, the station wouldn't be the vibrant, community-driven platform it is today. Simply put, it would not exist.

The heartbeat of our station

Harrogate Community Radio thrives because of you—our volunteers. Your diverse skills, enthusiasm, and willingness to contribute your time and energy are what make our station unique and beloved by many. Whether you're presenting shows, producing content, managing our social media, or helping behind the scenes, your work is invaluable.

Making a difference

Volunteering is often a selfless act, and the impact of your work extends far beyond our studio walls. Here’s how you make a difference:

  • Connecting the Community: Your programmes bring people together, fostering a sense of belonging and community spirit.
  • Sharing Stories: You give a voice to those who might not otherwise be heard, sharing stories, music, and perspectives that enrich our cultural tapestry.
  • Providing a Platform: You offer a platform for local talent and causes, helping to promote and support our community in countless ways.

A week to reflect and celebrate

Volunteer Week is an opportunity to reflect on the incredible contributions you've made over the past year. It's also a chance for us to celebrate the camaraderie and friendships that have blossomed through our shared love for community radio.

  • Reflecting on Achievements: From special broadcasts to community events, your hard work has led to many successes. Let’s take pride in these accomplishments and the positive impact they've had on our listeners.
  • Celebrating Together: While we might be physically apart, let's come together virtually to celebrate our achievements. Share your favourite moments, highlights, and memories from the past year on our social media channels.

Thank you

To each of our volunteers, thank you. Thank you for your time, your creativity, and your passion. Thank you for being the lifeblood of Harrogate Community Radio. Your contributions are seen, appreciated, and cherished.

As we celebrate Volunteer Week, let’s remember that every hour you give, every idea you share, and every bit of energy you invest helps us to continue growing and thriving as a community station.

Join us in celebration

We invite everyone in our community to join us in celebrating our volunteers. Whether it's by sending messages of thanks, or simply sharing the word about the incredible work our volunteers do, your support means the world to us.

Here's to you, our volunteers—thank you for making Harrogate Community Radio the heart of our community.

– Andrew, Allan & Scooby

Let's keep it going. If you're interested in joining our team, get in touch! We'd love to welcome you to the Harrogate Community Radio family.
