We are thrilled to announce that Harrogate Community Radio made it to the finals. The station is in the “Technology & Digital Award” category for the Harrogate Business Awards 2024, as run by Harrogate Advertiser. This award not only shows our commitment, it shows how we use technology to serve the local community and beyond.

Our mission has always been to give a platform to diverse voices and, in doing so, we aim to foster belonging and community. We have used new digital initiatives and technology to amplify the voices of people and groups, with quite some success. As a radio station. we have always been about “getting your hands dirty” and offering an alternative to Commercial Radio.

This nomination shows the hard work of our volunteers. Our volunteers give their time and expertise with passion. They ensure that Harrogate Community Radio stays a vibrant hub of creativity and connection and that we produce engaging content. We implement cutting-edge digital solutions so that each member of our team plays a vital role in our success.

In reaching the final, we need to take stock and celebrate this milestone. We would not have been nominated for two awards this year if it was not for our listeners, supporters, and partners. They have championed our cause and helped us make a positive impact in the community. Their support never wavers (unless there is a schedule conflict with something good on the telly) and it inspires us to keep pushing boundaries. We are always looking for new paths for growth and innovation.

We are honoured to be finalists for the “Technology & Digital Award”, looking forward to the awards ceremony. Regardless of the outcome, we take immense pride in our work. We are committed to serving our community with passion, integrity, and excellence.

And, thank you for being part of our journey. It seems that we are continuing to make waves. More of this, please!
