Four on the Floor #48

This show was about House Music in all its forms. The music you would have heard in nightclubs across the globe, at raves in the 80s and 90s, and on the White Isle – think Steve ‘Silk’ Hurley, Tiesto, or Patrick Topping, and you were pretty much on the money.

Over the course of the series, the show explored 40 years of House, starting from the early Frankie Knuckles era in Chicago and working through to some of the most current tracks around at the time. It covered as many sub-genres as possible, and brought in tracks and remixes that many listeners had never come across before. The odd Mash-Up and exclusive remix made an appearance too, along with occasional guest mixes from fellow DJs.

Each episode was built to get you ready for your big night out – a non-stop 60-minute mix of everything House. Electro, Tech, Deep, Uplifting, and a few things harder to name – as long as it had a four on the floor beat, it was in.
