The Way We Were

“The Way We Were” is an eclectic look at the punk rock, new wave, post punk and synth pop eras from the mid 1970s to the mid 1980s.

Before the world went online, we relied on fanzines, word of mouth, the weekly music press and radio pioneers such as Annie Nightingale, Janice Long, Gary Crowley, Don Letts, Andy Kershaw and, of course, the much missed John Peel – A Peel session would often move an independent band from ‘no-ones’ to ‘someones’ literally overnight.
