A Late March Newsletter

Written by on March 26, 2021

As Spring springs, I thought I would write up the Newsletter that has just gone out this Friday evening – so that everyone can get the gossip. If you ever want to sign up to the newsletter, there is a sign up form located on the right hand side of the site, as you look at this window.

Did you catch The Present Age last night? Jack Sinclair is taking his radio-role in Lock Down 3.0 very seriously and has stepped up his game. You can listen to last night’s episode of The Present Age HERE. Jack also presents Our Gate on a Saturday.

Every Thursday we hook up with the guys and gals at Destination Venus, the big little comics shop under the stairs at The Everyman Cinema. They present a show of Geek culture and have a really engaging delivery – it doesn’t matter if you are sat on the fence or you have ambivalent feelings about the subject at hand – their enthusiasm overfloweth. You can see their page on the station’s site HERE. Then, check out their Instagram feed ’cause it’s sick.

Over the weekend, we have the ever dependable, ever professional Craig J on Saturday at 8pm, with Four On The Floor playing House Music. Then, up at 9pm is a legend of the local scene; DJ Trev. If you have been in a Harrogate Bar or club in the past 20 years you will probably have heard Trev at work. Before Covid, Trev was also making waves as a niche DJ doing what he loves, DJing big raves – he has worked with a heap of big-name acts who are all too cool for me to know about. If you like Rave, or hard dance, then this show is something you will want to tune in for. Find out more HERE.

Sunday eases your Hangover in to the day with To Etherea and Beyond – if shimmering guitar tremeloes are your bag, this cross-genre show full of atmospheric music will pickle your onions.

Sunday also sees a Mental Heath podcast with a Gold Medal Winner (Taekwondo) called Thoughty Auti – The host, Thomas, is a gentle giant. But if you don’t listen he will kick your face off!

Join Scooby at 7pm on Sunday for The Sound Of Wonder (picture, above) – an eclectic toe-dip in to global pop trends. It is a world music show that is all heart. Then, I am up at 8pm on a Sunday with The Parish News. I am unsure what to write about that without squirming; so, I won’t go in to it too much…

If you have any ideas for a show on the radio and you are keen to broadcast and be broadcasted, please get in contact with me. Have a read of THIS first and get your thinking caps on.

That’s about it – thanks for listening.
